Thursday Morning In the City

Yesterday I lost my heart. Today I see some woman paying bus fare with it. As the driver makes change, a purple flower blooms round as a button on his pants. “That’s mine,” I say, but he only shrugs and drives away.

    1. Thanks v. much. I’m playing around with leaps, like from the woman paying to the driver making change. Hopefully it’s clear that he put my heart in his pocket. It’s hard to know how far a leap will still make sense. You know?

Tell me about it.
