I craved something sweet, so I ambushed a village marooned in orchards. My pulpy prey stopped dead in his tracks to confront me but could only stammer before my fangs pierced rind. The tang of his blood hit me sweet as marmalade.

You struck the vampire loving chord in me!
Do you love all vampires, Kat?
Hmmmm ALL vampires, Nate? I don’t know if I would go that far but I definitely get into them. 🙂
You really captured not only sense of taste but also texture. I’m feeling a bit light-headed imagining it all.
Oh, good, I was hoping to play up the rush! Thanks, Cyn!
I love your word choices here! (marooned, pulpy, etc.) So interesting and thoughtful. Loved this very much!
Hooray, GennaClaire is back! THanks for noticing my word choices. I spent a lot of time choosing them.
Mmmm, the taste of marmalade reminds me of Paddington Bear. Yeah I know, right? I watched the movie last night with my kids. LOL
That’s an interesting horror movie idea, Kathy: Paddington Bear as vampire.
Love what you did here, Nate!
pulpy prey – love it!
Great take on the prompt, Nate! Absolute favorite.
Sounds delicious, and I’m not just saying that because I’m hungry. Okay, maybe a little.
Tina, are you coming out of the closet as a vampire?
