As I spread my work over the duvet, the fan begins its hum. The curious Manx sniffs around, then eases onto my chest. His purring vibrates through me. A feather of a nap floats in with the breeze, then I’m far away.

  1. This makes me very sleepy now…late afternoon and nap time. “A feather of a nap..” is so lovely. Cats are the best. Purring is good for healing too. Just FYI.

    1. It requires a calm kitty. Right now we have one of those and a kitten. It’s hard to fall asleep in a room that contains a kitten! Scratch, scratch, scratch, crinkle, run, run, run, scratch, scratch.

  2. Love the idea of the nap feather floating in the window. With that and the purring cat, it’s no wonder dreams were quick to follow.

  3. This made me smile. I think this cat didn’t come through the window, but my friends Manx, a stray that she adopted soon after, came in through her window to find her forever home.

Tell me about it.
